I just got back home and the special bindings we had made up were waiting for me. Here they are:





These bindings are maple and East Indian Rosewood. They have a .020 black fibre inner purf and a .020 white fibre outer purf. The installation procedure is to install the binding, typically with the black inside, and then scrape the white off to expose the maple and EIR on the side of the instrument.

These bindings are .115 x .25 x 45 inches. Those that have pre-ordered I will get a hold of you by the end of the weekend. I still have a few left, I did order about 200 pieces but I heed to tally up all of the pre-orders before I know exactly how many are left.

Just an update on the price. When I put the order in I said that the bindings would be about $6.75 each. That is indeed what they will cost. $6.75 each!
